I want this feature so I can send out monthly specials, news letters and info to those who opt in.

An Opt-in Email list simply means someone has deliberately signed up for it. (Example – you go to a website, enter your email address, and they send you a newsletter)

That’s great.. But what if if wasn’t your address you typed in? The recipient would call it spam.

Most legitimate newsletters now use a Double-Opt-In list, meaning someone has confirmed they want it. (Example – you go to a website, enter your email address, and they send you an email asking you to click on a link to confirm you actually want it.)

As a sender, if you’re using an opt-in list method, and someone reports you to an ‘anti-spam’ service, you will be listed as a spammer. If you use double-opt-in, you have a better chance of being believed.

Question by bluebike2000: Help building Blackberry contact list?
I am looking for some windows XP software that I can build a contact list, and upload it to my Blackberry. Does anybody know if this exists? I am trying to avoid having to manually add all of my contacts into my new blackberry, and this is my first one, so I dont have a backup yet. I have installed the Blackberry desktop manager on my computer. Is there an application that I can find that will do this? thanks for any help I can get.

Outlook will sync with Blackberry using desktop manager. If you have Outlook, you can type them in.

Also, you can type them into Google’s contacts online and then get the Google Sync program for the blackberry which will sync calendar and contacts.
